Yeah bring Jim back, he wasn't everyones cup of tea but I liked the bloke. Saying that, are you Jurgen by any chance? If not, Jurgen needs to come back too. Twentyman as well, all great members of this forum.

Eubank Jnr v GGG. Would have been a fun watch (in a cruel way). But Jnr lost his pen.

Holmes vs Pinklon Thomas in ‘84 would have been interesting

I was reading Holmes's autobiography the other night. He seems pretty unhappy he didn't get to fight Foreman in either halves of the latter's career. It got close but he's still adamant it was for boxing reasons rather than money.

The fact that they never fought is truly a shame, especially in the 70s. In general, if Foreman never retired as he had done in ‘77 then God knows how the “lost generation” of heavyweights in the 80s would have looked like. It would have been a completely different heavyweight landscape during that decade in my opinion.

Calzaghe v Froch but in hindsight Froch was just coming through at world level and Calzaghe was nearing the end and after the big stateside pay days - unfortunately the timings didn’t match up.

Would’ve loved to have seen a Groves v Degale rematch.

Haye v Fury… I had tickets for that one but it wasn’t to be. Nobody would’ve thought that Fury would go on to achieve what he done and that the time everyone thought Haye would blitz him.

Roy & Toney v Eubank & Benn. Either one of these would’ve been great.

Lewis v Bowe is the obvious standout

Floyd v Khan. Timing v speed.

Calzaghe v Steve Collins. Was all set up, Collins had to pull out, Eubank stepped in and sadly we never seen Collins in a ring again.

Macklin, Andy Lee, Barker & Murray. They should’ve had a round robin but not one happened - proper shame.

    Eubank v Bomber Graham

Alex Arthur v Scott Harrison. I remember there being some talk of this around the late 2000s, Scott had been out the ring for a while & Arthur had just beaten Foster Jr.

Ricky Burns v Scott Harrison would’ve been another.

Barry McGuigan v Pat Cowdell in the mid 80s

Great post mate and these fights would have been fantastic. In hindsight, sadly they never even got close to being made.

Holyfield v Ruddock and Holyfield v Morrison, probably the only opponents missing from the real deals stacked resume. Both potentially fun to watch wars ;)

Holyfield v Bruno would have also been a bad, bad beatdown for Frank.

The same with the current crop unless a huge punch landed early.

Big Frank would need to do him in the first 4 rounds or one can visualise Hoyfield teeing off with his 50 punch onslaught in the later rounds with Bruno in the Terry Harper Bus Stop position near the ropes.
