Yep because Jess Willard circa 1919 reminds any reasonable person of a 1988 Mike Tyson......if one wasn't white and the other black, you'd be forgiven for mistaking them to be twins....
We can debate both men's character all night long, but no one's claiming that the Pope ought to make Mike Tyson a saint nor is anyone arguing that we all should pattern our lives after that of Mike Tyson or follow his example. And Dempsey might have been a stand up guy. He might have been a legitimate saint. But that's neither here nor there in who would win in the ring between the 2. Harold Johnson was by all accounts a good man who many say they never heard use a curse word. I still think a young Tyson swiftly and mercilessly poleaxes him. I'm unconcerned about their outside lives or what criminal acts they committed or if they sold everything and gave the money to the poor when it comes to predicting who would win a fight because it's just not relevant.
Yeah those pain killers they'd be giving Tyson for those bruised and swollen knuckles of his (you know, from all the smashing left hooks and uppercuts he'd no doubt be flushly landing) would make him pretty woozy.
I'm not sure Dempsey beats Floyd Patterson, though I'd slightly favor him. I certainly don't think he'd defeat a nuclear version of Patterson.
Yeah......only sissies and pansies use things like indoor plumbing and automobiles. Real men use outhouses and horse and buggies.
Real classy stuff bumping a 5 year old thread and quoting others personal attacks to support your present attempts at a personal attack. Just what the forum needs.
The lone source you provided to back up these claims said nothing regarding Dempsey being a pimp and "breaking in bitches". Very annoying to have to read obvious lies.
I would be fascinated to see how Tyson reacted psychologically. He revered Dempsey to such an extent he even copied the guy’s hairstyle. Would this negatively impact his performance?
