Why did Canelo choose Mungia over Benavidez?

I just see no way possible that Canelo can stem the tide once the avalanche starts. Once DB gets warmed up, Canelo simply lacks the stamina to mount a serious challenge.

IF he survives, he takes a terrible beating.

The GGG fights were almost ten years ago; It's time to stop pretending that they were yesterday.

Because Benavidez is a natural heavyweight pretending to be a super middleweight. He uses his size and weight advantage to bully smaller fighters. Canelo didn't give him this opportunity.

But Floyd put up a poll asking who the fans wanted him to fight next & claiming that he would like to fight in the UK. That poll result was a resounding win for Khan BUT!! Who did Floyd actually fight?? A shot Andre Berto & then for his supposed 50th win he danced with an MMA fighter making his pro boxing debut in Conor McGregor & you lemmings bought it lol Both Floyd & Canelo are cut from the same cloth. Both are purely DIVAS not FIGHTERS.!!!!! As my dear old Dad would so aptly put it Neither had thje guts of an empty wheelbarrow. He would be right too

When have we seen Canelo lack stamina..... What are you talking about? It's like you are trying to create this false reality in your head just to have something to critique on Canelo.......

"Once DB gets warmed up"......Canelo is a COUNTER PUNCHER.....He's calculating timing, habits, mistakes being displayed in the early rounds. When DB does "warm up"....what exact do you think Canelo is going to do....just sit there and get punched.....

The first 2 GGG fights was 6/7 years ago.... 2017/18... When you got to stretch the truth, it's evidence that even you don't believe the nonsense you are chanting. "Stop pretending like it was yesterday"......How's bout you stop acting like Canelo is an elder statesman. He's 33 years old. That's experienced but far from the end of his physical prime. Do we really have to point out how man world champions are older than 33 in history.... And this is before we have the sports medicine that's available to athletes today.

I don't know, should I have used the Caleb Plant fight as an example.... That was 2021....not "almost 10 years ago".......Canelo stopped him in the late rounds........ Benavidez......well, he went all 12 rounds....... What's wrong....did Benavidez never "warm up" vs Plant..... Why was Plant able to survive his avalanche but vs Canelo..........

At some point we got to get out of our emotions on this board and actually discuss the facts of the sport. Canelo/Benavidez is one of the most intriguing fights to be made......Because BOTH have the ability of beating each other......."on paper".........It's weird to hear either fan base try to make it seem like one does stand a chance and/or belong in the ring with the other...... If that's the case.....why are y'all begging for the match up then.

I had Canelo losing to GGG 8 rounds to 4 in the first fight. The second fight was a little closer but still had it 7 rounds to 5...GGG. I also had Canelo losing to Lara as well. Canelo had no business going up to 175 lbs. He got lucky the first time catching an aged Kovalev on his way out the door..... Bivol is a much bigger challenge and showcased that Canelo wasn't going to jump up to the division and bully his way to a world title....

Not sure what you mean by saying Bivol "gave him just what he deserved"..... sounds like a personal vendetta on your end because clearly Bivol didn't have one against him.

Benavidez laid a savage beating on Plant -who hasn't fought since- and would have stopped him if Caleb wasn't allowed to clinch 80+ times.

    ................

I'm sorry... you're arguing against my prediction why, exactly?

If you see it differently, so be it.

Maybe Canelo will get around to signing the fight and then we'll maybe have something to discuss here, eh?

Floyd didn't have to fight anyone at that point, he had done quite enough in his career and fought plenty of top notch Fighters. There are many other all-time greats who slowed their roll as they approached the end of their careers, it happens.

GGG was NOT in his prime when he fought ginger.

Benavidez couldn’t ko Plant, he’s not going to ko Canelo.

This isn't a cry for attention. This is a genuine question. Apparently everyone knows the reason, except me. So please do tell me the reason sir...

So basically, you are saying Canelo is scared of getting KTFO by a 168 lber who he perceives as a heavyweight boxer???
