The CW stuff which oscar really did insist on made alot of people hate on Canelo and alot of people still bring that up today. But I do agree that DLH did make him into a star, so that has to be respected. It's a double edged sword man.

 

Yes and that speaks directly to what I was saying in the other topic, how tons of posters on this forum couldn't stand DLH when he was promoting Canelo. And for good reason. But now you see these same people siding with DLH now against Canelo. He made Canelo a star, yes, but also did a lot of harm to Canelo due to his own personal issues, which he even admitted his "Mental health" wasn't right. Oscar had problems, and his problems reflected badly on Canelo, in the eyes of many fans.

Canelo walked away, he wanted no part of that life or Oscar's problems, and good for Canelo for getting away from that. And now DLH's bitter.

I also think it needs to be said that Oscar has made a lot of self-improvement since Canelo left. I think it's pretty clear that he's been a much better influence as a promoter on Munguia than he was on Canelo. He learned from a lot of his mistakes he made while promoting Canelo, but he's still the same guy. Canelo has every right to be upset at all the mistakes Oscar made, for all the hate that he generated against Canelo in the eyes of the fans. One thing is clear, there's a lot of beef between these two, but I find it fascinating how so many fans constantly ragged on Oscar when he was promoting Canelo, accusing him of always being coked up, paying off judges, "fishnets" etc etc. But now no one on here has a bad word to say about him anymore, now that he's finally seemed to get his act together and now is managing someone who isn't Canelo. Funny how that works.

And Canelo has the upmost respect for Jamie Munguia who by all accounts is a stand up guy and a likeable fighter. But now Oscar has lit a fire under Canelo and if history is any indication, that's not something you wanna do I don't think. A motivated Canelo who now has a purpose to shut DLH up for good is even more dangerous. Now it's personal, not necessarily between Canelo and Jamie, but between Canelo and Oscar and Canelo now needing to beat Jamie to have the upper hand on Oscar.

The stakes couldn't be higher this weekend given all the beef between them.
