I don't know, Dempsey is up there though, Duran wasn't aggressive, he was vicious!

I think there's a difference between applied intelligent aggression and actual borderline feral anger like Duran or Dempsey's.

So which are you looking for?

Haha, you're right though, for agression Chavez must be one of the best examples of educated aggression ever. Also, Khaosi Galaxy was only moving forward all the time.

Mhm, well said.

It's hell fighting guys like Chavez and Galaxy because you couldn't slow them down. It wasn't ineffective aggression, they weren't bouncing after you and letting you slide along the ropes out of harms way. They were closing that gap no matter what to grind you down.

Yea, Julio cut the ring off so well. Jose Luis Castillo employed a very similar style, some differences in their preference of/favourite shots, but stylistically similar. Most will say he wasn't on that level though.

Laughed my assoff at the feral anger comment btw!

Terry McGovern probably has this title sewn up.

I try. :thumbsup

Castillo was literally a poor mans Chavez through and through. Which isn't suprising considering how he emulated and even sparred with him when he was younger.

Castillo's chin might of even been better though. Guy was off his feet once his entire career and that was when he had four of his ribs broken. And he didn't exactly have the defensive subtitles of Chavez.

Ketchel was supposedly a mad man in the ring at his best.

Fenech was pretty horrible.

Frazier deserves a mention.

Very good observations my friend, Chavez was uncanny at not taking shots at times, considering his style. I always bring Castillo up in the underrated debates by the way, i think some of his game was technically very good indeed, especially how well he executed his left hand shots. I always felt Chavez' right was his best shot personally though, that short semi-overhand when he stood in front of his man always was pinpoint.

Anyway, i think were hogging the thread here! Subject changin

Benn's a great pick. Not surprising considering he was literally a street thug/legitimate criminal before becoming a fighter. Nasty guy.
