Hi, am new to the forum. There has been alot in the news about this programme but i'm not convinced Mr Khan is the ideal role model for these young men. Wasn't he in trouble himself during his teens for being involved with a gang of boys that chased and pelted a girl? Then there is the alleged driving offences - according to the press in Bolton he is due in court later this month for the 140mph speeding & failing to produce and due in court again in october for the dangerous driving matter. Obviously, you are innocent until proven guilty but instead of appearing on reality tv shows perhaps he should just concentrate on his defence - in more ways than one judging by his last bout!

i wondered when those driving offences were coming up. :yep

but isn't the point of the show turning ya life around thru boxing or a sport.

khan has certainly done that.

despite his crap driving.

Hello hitman_hatton1. Call me cynical but I don't think anyones life will be turned around in a month - even if the cameras are rolling! Also, I think Khans alleged driving offences were both committed since he turned professional.

hello elle. :hi:

ya probably right.

but it's still a worthwhile issue.

some kids out there are out of control.

khan has cocked up a couple of times behind the wheel recently. but then again so do a lot of law abiding people.

drop the cynicism elle. :yep

Hello again hitman_hatton1.
Agree its a worthwhile issue - just not a worthy mentor in my view!
Hope we can just beg to differ?

i accept ya point that khan has let himself down behind the wheel lately.

especially the speeding offence after having that dangerous one pending. :patsch

but aside from that khan is a good role model i'd say.

Arrogant, insecure, can't speak well is a good role model?

Khan's a hero.
