questions about boxers dieting.

My boy is trying to cut weight for a job requirement and was asking me what I knew about boxers dieting.

Hes only concerned with the last day of his dieting. He wants to know when he should completely shut his body down to shed the most possible pounds. By shut his body down i mean how many days/hours before his weigh in should he start fasting.

Any tips for last minute shedding of pounds???

Fasting is totally useless, even more so on the last day. I have no idea why he thinks he needs to "shut his body down", but it won't do shit. If all he cares about is the last day, his only option is dehydrating. He won't shed "pounds" of fat on the last day that is for sure.

Sounds like 'your boy' needs to quit being so damn lazy and get on an actual diet.

P.s. Shutting down his body? Is he high? That shit doesn't even make sense.

I'm very curious as to what jobs require you to cut weight.

Wind Turbine Technician. Apparently they dont think it would be a good thing for me to weigh 300 lbs when I am on a ladder 300 feet up. Though hell, even the service has BMI requirements. You would have to be obese not to make the cut though, I wanna say its somewhere around 25% for the Navy.

The Navy goes by Body fat %, not BMI.

And yes, 25 is that body fat.

train hard and eat healthy. cutting too much weight beyond your natural weight isn't right. stay healthy and hydrated. physically weak, less durable, lacking sharpness, blunted reflexes and less fuel in the tank ain't worth it me thinks.

Breakfast, porridge with goji berries,
Mid morning snack, natural yoghurt piece of fruit
Lunch, veg soup
afternoon snack, handful of almonds
Dinner, either chicken, steak, with rice and mushrooms,
before bed green tea and piece of fruit

a pint of water with each meal and maybe throw in a protein shake after training.

Some pilots jobs.........

The guys is asking how to quickly drop 10 pounds or so I guess. As Jockeys and Boxers do. Not how to get into lean shape.
