Dominic Vea

I guess Green didn't do any favors for Vea after a split decision loss to McCracken,Vea should of cancelled his fight until his nose was right and risking his chances for the Commonwealth title and since he lost does that mean he still holds his titles?

Im blown away by Vea still taking the fight and also losing the bout.Talk about a real bad career move.

Having such a tough pre fight training camp that resulted in a serious injury to carry into any fight(broken beek).NOT VERY SMART AT ALL.

McCraken won by 5 rounds to 3 mate....didnt see how it could be a split :huh

I hope Vea still gets a shot at the comm title...he should have never taken the fight busted up like that :-(

Nah fuck it...good on him. He showed some balls and character taking this fight against a guy he knows first hand is very good. Old school, its good stuff.

He will heal up and be back...Ill be very disappointed if this destroys his shot at the Commy title..that will set up a classic rubber match over 12 with McCracken if he bags the title.

Maybe McCracken can get rematches with either Withers or Ammann off this win?

Gutsy yes, intelligent... no. What's the point? Nothing was at stake if he had of won.

:deal
Exactly...i mean it shows how much heart/guts he has but for what gain.
I would imagine the Commonwealth Title Fight may be in jeopardy with all these injuries/broken nose.
It was scheduled for late May

is there anywhere where one could acess footage from the sparring session? id love to see it i know dominic can hold his own in the ring so it would be interesting to see how fresh and crisp danny is at the moment

It was a good fight though. Both guys went at it from start to finish without taking too big a breather.

Spewing - didn't see it.

Did see their first bout though, and couldn't see a way McCracke_n was going to win the re-match, even allowing for his courage first time around.

Courageous, but dumb, it would seem for Vea. Probably should have waited for the nose to heal and concentrate on the more important Comm Title opportunity.

Still, it's a great for Aus boxing that there's a couple of similar ability guys willing to get in together - not enough of that goes on.

What happened to JAMIE PITTMAN?

His Fijian/ Ghanan opponent certainly looked formidible on paper, 14 straight wins etc. But the stoppage to Sturm was his only blemish until last night.
