When Ali returned from exile...

Wasn't he still the fastest in the HW division for the most part?

And who in your opinion were the fastest HW's during the 70's?

When Ali returned to the ring he was still the fastest around. But the speed and reflexes began to slow around 1976. Maybe Jimmy Young was the fastest in the mid 1970's, and Larry Holmes took the distinction in the late 1970's.

When Ali fought Young he said, Jimmy reminded me of myself when I was younger. Now that I think about it, the 70’s wasn’t a decade with speedy heavyweights..

Bugner was languid and swift at times, the Kuala Lumpar fight showed a far more talented performer than his record suggests and a far more flexible style than one might assume from a guy happy to survive in his key tests.
