Re: Audley Harrison "A Nation living in Fear"
I have no problem with Audley and if he does, somehow, become World HW Champion it'll be one of the most amazing stories in sport.
It's easy to knock people and Audley has to accept he's a prime target for that because of the things he's said in the past and because of his failures in the ring. Then along came Prizefighter......last chance saloon. His back was to the wall and he came through showing good heart. Then the Sprott fight.......the majority of HW's out there would have thrown the towel in after snapping a shoulder tendon, but he didn't. He fought on one-handed for another 10 rounds knowing that he was losing on points. He had the belief and heart to think he could still do it.....and guess what?.....he did. I say good luck to him. |
Re: Audley Harrison "A Nation living in Fear"
It's nice to see there are a few of us who are on Audley's side.
I think there are two viewpoints you can take on Audley Harrison. You can look at him as a joke and a laughing stock for not being able to achieve his ambition. Or you can look at him as an inspiration for his unshakeable determination in following his dream. As Mr Kool says, he's still there, still trying - and I take my hat off to him for that. In his shoes, my determination would have buckled by now. I think he's an inspiration. |

Re: Audley Harrison "A Nation living in Fear"
This fight is a fucking joke. If Harrison lands a shot on his chin and Haye allows him to be world champion then Haye should feel disgraced for the rest of his life for letting that happen. This fight makes a mockery of boxing, the heavyweight division and the WBA title.
I can't believe after such a good career (minus 1 fight) that Haye is gonna involve himself in this mess. Even after Adam Booth and him told it like it is and rubbished Audley as an opponent. |
Re: Audley Harrison "A Nation living in Fear"
Prima you know I think you're an asshole but that was beautiful man. The best fuckin post I've ever read on this forum. You can quote me on that shit, I'm deadly serious. Good luck to Audley, I hope he achieves his dream. I also agree that a fight with Haye would be interesting. It's a great story.
The problem for Haye is that When Haye started his new school, in front of everyone he went up to the biggest baddest, older kid and said he was gonna knock him out. Wladimir laughed him off at first but little David kept pushing his buttons untill Wladimir said "Okay! meet me in the basketball court after school". Haye is in a difficult position now. If he doesn't fight Wladimir or his older brother in his next fight, he's gonna take a lot of shit. The whole school is going to call him a coward. Personally, I say fuck it, why not make the fight with Audley happen? I mean, Haye is chinny, Harrison can hit, and he's got skills. We know that. His attitude and heart have been called into question but never his skill. Can he do it? Maybe. I give him more of a chance than most people are. I would rather Haye fight Vitali next though. The man is getting old and said he will retire at the end of the year. If Haye wants to get any credit he's gonna have to do it now or never. Good luck to Audley. It would be a nice end to a story if he can finally achieve his dream. You are right about the fight. It is a compelling story and I would watch it. Just imagine if he caused an upset and he ended up being the one to fight the Klits. What a shock that would be. Let me ask you this though Prima. Do you talk like this in real life or just on the net? What the fuck happened to you that makes you so passionate? I wanna hear your story if you don't mind telling it, and I'm serious. Cuz I'll be dissapointed if you just say something like "well one time I took some magic mushrooms and I was like woaahh man, I just figured out the meaning of life". I'm serious here, not playing around. You've talked about life changing experiences before, so I was curious. |
