He was peaked against Naz IMO.

He was still in good condition but obviously not his best I think.

Pac tends to make people look that way though.

I will say he was a bit past his best...In his previous fights against Pac, MAB had showed he had slowed down and lost that ferocity he once had in his fight against Johnny Tapia, and against Kevin Kelly he showed he was considerably slower, and had gotten sloppy.

It was the consensus that both Morales and MAB lost a bit of their prime against each other in 2000, 3 years before Pac fought MAB.

That was his last great performance.

Close enough IMO. His peak night I think was against EM in 2000, even though he "lost". I think he was mentally and physically unstoppable that night, exept by maybe a wilfredo gomez or something.

no question about it he was, he was just coming off the best wins of his career and was at his career's highpoint when he faced pac.

I believe he was in his prime, he was just unprepared against Pac.

I know it's hard to say because also Pacquiao just tends to bring out the worst in some fighters because of his style.

For certain Morales wasn't prime against Pacquiao and I do agree that the war between Morales & Barrera toke something out of them.

An old Kevin Kelly, a past prime Johnny Tapia, and a contraversial win over Morales were his best wins?????

Like Barrera was the hungrier man in his fight with Hamed, Pacquiao was hungrier man in his first fight with Barrera.

Wasnt he trying to set up another fight using Pac as a springboard?

Worked out well...

I think most people that say he was, never saw MAB fight before.

The MAB that fought Pac, Tapia, Kelly, Morales II, was not the same MAB who fought Morales I and prior.

MABs last great performance was CLEARLY Hamed. Just like Morales' last great performance was Pac.

I think he just barely hit 30 at that point so Pac probably caught him just off his physical prime. Not too far past it though & that's why I think Barrera would never be able to beat Pac. It's Manny's speed what he can't deal with.
