Headaches after fight,sparring

I box amateur since 4 years.I have about 40 fights. But recently i have started having headaches after my fights and sparring. It now happen everytime.Even if i dont get hit hard.I have never been hurt in a fight.Ive never had anything more than being stunned for a second or two.So what does that mean?anyone having similar problems?

I get headaches when I'm dehydrated.

Yes, I have similar problems. I don't fight amateur, but do a lot of sparring. I did a lot better than a guy at the gym who I did 3 rounds with. After the 3 he was done, but I felt great. I got hit one time that I recall. However, hours afterwards I got exactly what you are describing. It has concerned me as well, so I'm glad you made this thread. I guess at the end of the day, anything that jars your head, whether you are being hit flush or not, is not good for us.

Funny enough, studies have been done on people who have "head banged" at concerts regularly over years and have had symptoms of brain damage.

Dehydration or concussion.

sounds like concussion - I get it every fight or heavy spar. You get used to it. Have you just gone into the seniors or something?

Left hook - have you ever been knocked down, knocked out, or otherwise concussed?

Take a few weeks off sparring see if it gets better, if you have had a concussion recently you brain may just need time to heal.

I have that issue from time to time. It feels like the muscles that run from the top of my head to the base of my neck get all tight. Thus, it contributes to the headaches. I've been sparring for a while, too. So, it's weirdly inconsistent. Some days I can take a lot of heat, and some not. This other poster mentioned dehydration, which could be an issue. Also, it could be tension.
