Mayweather snr forces Hatton to change gym
Apparently Mayweather snr refused to leave the ring @ the top rank gym in vegas even though Hatton was due in to spar (mayweather had some kid on the pads in there). The upshot was Ricky has now changed gym in the run up to the Castillo bout. Not ideal prep, although I dont think it'll effect the outcome too much.

Re: Mayweather snr forces Hatton to change gym
I thought Hatton was training at the UFC gym Zuffa!

Re: Mayweather snr forces Hatton to change gym
Not like Mayweather to make a complete cunt of himself.

Sources?
doesn't surprise me though the Mayeathers are trash |
Re: Mayweather snr forces Hatton to change gym
Sources. Spoke to a couple of people in the VIP gala dinner in Bolton last Saturday, one of which was flying out the next morning as part of Hattons PR team.

Re: Mayweather snr forces Hatton to change gym
Hatton is still at the UFC Zuffa gym and has been for quite a bit. Every gym report is from there.

Re: Mayweather snr forces Hatton to change gym
If UFC had featherweight division (which would probably be around 140) he could give it a go when/if he is shot, we all know he loves to grapple (:patsch sorry i just couldn't help it)

You reported this two or three days ago. More than two or three days ago I know he was at Zuffa. Check the articles and pictures of him being there. |
Re: Mayweather snr forces Hatton to change gym
Like I said in my previous post. The source was a gent who was part of Hattons PR team. I spoke to the guy last Saturday (he was flying to vegas on the Sunday) and asked how ricky was getting on. He said fine, apart from <insert story here>... You're saying "last couple of days" im saying the guy told me last Saturday, 5 days ago. I haven't made it up in my head, im just repeating what I was told.
Sure it'll all come out in good time, if true!! |

My thoughts exactly, mate. If indeed this happened, why do such a thing? You'd think seeing as both are in the same profession, they possibly might respect each other & be courteous to one another! Still, upping sticks & moving to a different gym was probably the best & most sensible thing for Ricky to do. If Mayweather wants to be like that, then that's on him, no one else. |
