I'm looking forward to the fight, but also to the pre-fight Frank vs. BBBoC. Tasty.

Frank vs. Robert Smith, shirts off in the car park at Upton Park.

Picking up a hint of sarcasm.......:D

But just in case you are interested, he did say that the BBBC statement was libellous and that there is nothing they can do to stop the fight. Also made a good point about the Povetkin / Rahman fight, said the BBBC aren't sanctioning that one, does that make it unlicenced?!

He certainly appears at this time to be determined to stand his ground, this is going to get nasty me thinks!!!

Seemed to say that the BBBofC were making an empty threat. We will see. F.W. probably doesn't need a war with them, but he does need a big fight that can (hopefully) boost subscriptions to BoxNation.

It is an unusual situation. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

He's got a massive fight now and lots of publicity for it. It's bound to sell. Whether or not he can keep those viewers at BoxNation remains to be seen.

On Buncey's Boxing Hour he mentioned something about one German promoter no working with the German boxing authorities because of differences between them, or something? If they can do it then theoretically Wazza can continue without the BBBofC's blessing. It's probably not an ideal situation for a British promoter to be in though.

You are right there buddy

Guy on Talksport just made a good comment.

He was criticising the situation and Richard Keys asked him if despite his distaste for the situation would he still be watching the fight..........

The guy said he would be, and added that he was driving along the motorway yesterday and there was a crash , he said even though it was wrong he slowed down to watch (along with all the others!).

And that for me sums up this fight, it's wrong in many ways, BUT it is car-crash TV and will definitely bring in the punters :bbb

My guess is that the BBBoC will have their 'meeting' about Chisora's appeal in June, which ***** will attend, then they'll mysteriously grant him his licence with a stern warning then they'll give the fight the go-ahead.

Frank has wanted to do over the BBB of C since the early 80s. He has always made them look stupid, first with the battle to get the WBA recognized in the UK, then when he did the same with the IBF, so he could show Marsh/Manley.

What ever you think of him, he has shown time and again to be a lot smarter than the BBB of C. After nearly going bust after the Watson settlement, the BBB of C will be very careful in this case...

"They need fuck Undercards off, and turn these boxing events into Music Concerts, have afew artists, bands, groups playing, while the crowd get whipped up into a frenzy, and then have the main event as David Haye vs Derick Chisora"

Just a idea, will probably be done soon enough.

Careful in what way ?
They've made their statement, and have every right to withdraw their own licenses from any members they want.
This won't necessarily cost them anything financially.

Yes, Warran might bring them down completely, just by undermining them. Every boxing and promoter in the land will view the BBBofC as just another shabby outfit if the biggest promoter and his fighters leave en masse to fight under a different banner.
