Brad Hore
Going up to Coloundra to watch Brad Pocket Rocket Hore fight his second pro fight for the Qld title.
Ex Olympian and Commonwealth games. Hope he goes well. Any one no about this fight or going? |
Re: Brad Hore
don't see him going too far. Too small, too old, amateur for too long..who the hell will he fight? All the little blokes in this country have the same problem.
He couldn't even put away David Smith away in his debut |
Re: Brad Hore
Hey Percy, fight is actually at Maroochydore, a bit further north from Caloundra. He's not really a Bantamweight, he'd make Flyweight with ease, but that's where the opportunities to get some fights are.
Caps, I wouldn't read too much into not putting Smith away. Mick Shaw said before the fight normally Dave gets offered fights on a weeks notice. He had 10 weeks to train for that bout and he appeared to be the bigger guy on fight night. |
Re: Brad Hore
Good luck to Brad should at least win an Aussie title no worries. Really classy boxer but left it to late to have a real crack at the pro's, must be at least 30 now. I remember he qualified for the sydney olympics but couldn't make the weight during the tournament
|
Re: Brad Hore
Yeah I think he's 30. I remember he had a growth spurt prior to the Games and just couldn't make weight. 2 Commonwealth Games too, I think.

Re: Brad Hore
Tommy Clark will give Brad a good fight.Maybe Brad and Fred Mundraby down the track..
|
Re: Brad Hore
Tommy comes to fight, but Brad at 30 would still be too classy, he's not the biggest puncher but has great movement and is really hard to hit. Mundraby would be a good fight and Fred would probably be the favourite.
I am pretty sure Brad fought Yuriorkis Gamboa in an international tournament just before the Athens Olympics. |

Re: Brad Hore
Hey ipswich
do you have any details on the Thai that Brad is fighting now? What is the undercard going to be like? And how is he feeling is he over the flu? Looking forward to the fight coming up from Sydney and will say gday when I see ya. |
Re: Brad Hore
tommy Clarke was going to be his opponent for this fight,is he still?
|
Re: Brad Hore
Tommy Clarke pulled out a week or so ago. The Thai is 40 wins 10 losses in Muay Thai, apparently. He's not short on confidence and his manager emailed me saying he's predicting a knockout! Undercard has one pro fight on it and local amateurs, who make for a good crowd who cheer their mates on.
Horey is still getting over the flu, he's been carrying it for a few weeks. Looking forward to saying G'day Percy. Should be a fun night. |
Re: Brad Hore
A bit of feeling during the presser this arvo. Kietbanditgym said: "I'm here for the knockout" while Horey said: "I've heard it all before, I'm going to box his ears off."
