The guy whiPsy is talking about just beat Luis Franco who is promoted by Gary Shaw the fight was in Argentina and was an eliminator for the Ibf no1 spot. Gary Russell passed on the fight so next available challenger Munoz took the fight. Munoz's people won the purse bid that's why the fight was in Argentina. If they win the purse bid when Dibs mandatory is due Dibs title could be going to Argentina as it would be very hard for him to get decision there.

I expect some massive purse bids with the mandatory is ordered...

Re: Dibs next opponent??

I only remember this guy from the Nishioka fight...From memory he gave TN a pretty tough fight, he was bit difficult in a Sakio Bika kind of way...strong, awkward but good ring instincts too..His lack of pop hurt him though because even though he would get to Nishioka he really didn't do much damage..though I will say his KO percentage might be a bit deceiving.

The way Dib fights now might play into this guys hands actually...make it the kind of brawl he wants.

JUst watched this guys fight from last week this morning and he is very sloppy, and gets hit quite a bit, I expect Billy to pick him apart...

Re: Dibs next opponent??

When has Billy been any good at "picking apart" guys though?

If his last few fights are anything to go on he is going to try and trade with this bloke..use his handspeed to get off first and try to impose himself...If that doesn't work he will try his jab, run and spoil strategy.
This guy might be sloppy but it can go both ways..sloppy when it doesn't come off, awkward and difficult to defend against when it does.

I watched a couple of rounds of the Franco fight this morning...Luis is a very talented fighter with the Cuban amatuer pedigree and Munoz landed on him plenty..not always of the highest quality but they were getting through..I'll have to watch in full over the weekend, intitially there were talks of an utter robbery but a few people have since watched it and reckon it was actually pretty close because Franco gassed and sat on the ropes a lot.

I would expect Dib to win but not by a hell of a lot ...if it's in Argentina I highly doubt he is coming back with the title unless he can get a stoppage.

Mate both fighters landed on eachother plenty, I actually think Franco won the fight and Munoz was very lucky to get the desicion, He had a decent last few rounds, but I still had him behind after 12.
