Mayweather's resume is an impressive one. I'm really impressed by his longevity also. 14 years since he won his first world title and he hasn't had a true major slip-up since then. Takes incredible focus, dedication, and countless hours of improving your craft - on top of jaw-dropping natural reflexes, athleticism, and ability. I'd love to see him lace them up a few more times and try to put Pacquiao, Martinez, and one or two other top 147/154 pounders on it before he retires for good.

In hindsight ALL his opponents are weak as fuck.
(Except "Chicanito", Tho he was way past his best)

These type of gifs really put into perspective just how "other" these guys reaction times/reflexes and innate radars are. To remain calm in the heat of battle, against the ropes, with another guy trying to take your head off, and being able to pinpoint accurate counter-punches smack-dab in the middle of it is damn impressive. I had a buddy record some of my sparring sessions when I was fighting in the amateurs and I can remember parts of sparring where I thought I pulled off something really impressive and I go back and watch it and I'm like, "that was so pedestrian...and slow."

Benitez, Toney, Mayweather, Duran, etc...those type of guys are a joy to watch operate:bbb

A little harsh, Hatesrats? :verysad

Though yeah, this serves as a base. The quality of opposition has to be judged beyond the 'stats'. Floyd has defeated more rated contenders than Ray Leonard for example, but nobody would rate his opposition as being superior.

(Even tho SRL beat more 'contenders' than many seem to think. He cleaned out Welter, PRE-Title).

It baffles me how when a lot of people on here list Leonard's best victories, they'll rightfully and obviously include Duran, Hagler, Hearns, and Benitez, but so often leave out Ayub Kalule. In said context, I probably see Lalonde's name thrown out there more frequently.

RIP Genaro & Chico... Only reason people still talk about Floyd.
(Without a shot Hernandez or a depressed Coralles Mayweather's record is ehhh)

From Vegas & respect floyd don't like him or hate him.But no blue print??Castillo,Oscar, cotto,Burton gave him huge fits? Not saying these guys beat him castillo is the only one with a legitimate case thought oscar was winning at some point but let off his jab & gas pedal no excuses though more credit too floyd.Floyd is a highly skilled boxer but no killer or finisher by any means good resume, no need to over glorify a undefeated fighter.Calzahe/Maricano were undefeated as well, floyd doesn't have a resume with a legitimate threat though like Whitaker, leonard, hearns, duran so good resume but floyd is either disliked or over glorified. Props to floyd on carefully managing his career but he can't compete with Ali resume or Ribinson/Amstrong. Best undefeated resume?? Who knows maybe we'll find out when he retires if keeps his record flawless.
