It is not my couple of tea as I enjoy fights with a few beers, but it shows his pulling power |
Re: Hatton fight being shown in cinemas
You can smuggle booze in to the cinema, I knew a lad who used to take a bottle of vodka in with him.

Re: Hatton fight being shown in cinemas
£13 what a rip

Re: Hatton fight being shown in cinemas
Who was first to do this..? David Haye.
I honestly don't think Ricky Hatton is the biggest draw in British boxing anymore. Amir Khan & David Haye are both bigger. I wonder if Ricky Hatton's comeback fight will get more subscriptions than Haye vs Chisora. You only have to look at this forum, nobody is even talking about Ricky Hatton half as much as i would of anticipated. |
Re: Hatton fight being shown in cinemas
Will the Ray-Ricky aftermath be on Jeremy Kyle after the fight?

****ing hell, are you twelve year old and have you only seen maybe one of Hatton's fights? [ame="***********.youtube.com/watch?v=PweMADtEmWI"]***.youtube.com/watch?v=PweMADtEmWI[/ame] The Mayweather fight was in Vegas, by the way...Ricky took 30,000 over there with him, you stupid ****ing cunt. |
Re: Hatton fight being shown in cinemas
I'm only buying the PPV to see if Ray & Carol will turn up to the fight

Re: Hatton fight being shown in cinemas
I went to the movies to watch haye-Chisora, & although I didnt get the result I wanted, I thoroughly enjoyed watching live boxing at the cinema & would highly recommend it. Next best thing to being there, what with a vociferous cinema audience cheering on & that.
I would happily pay £13 quid to watch Hattons comeback, but the Odeon in Glasgow has long since closed down:verysad |

Are still the biggest fights in boxing that can be made outside of Pacman vs Mayweather. David Haye vs Derek Chisora was the biggest fight that has happened his year "In Britain/Europe", and i don't think Ricky Hatton's comeback has came even close to excitement and build up. |

Isn't there an Odeon in Braehead? I'm sure that's where I went to see The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX. *Edit - they're showing it in Dunfermline, of all places! You'll get more competitive fights in the town centre! |

also it's not fair to compare fights on channels with a basic grasp of marketing to primetime. Quote:

Re: Hatton fight being shown in cinemas
I might be wrong and I'm sure hes still got a big following in Manchester. But here in Bristol the whole Hatton comeback appears to have passed us by. A fair amount of hype when it was announced but since then nothing.
I really don't see the market for this, especially when I don't think anyone is realistically expecting a real dust up. |
Re: Hatton fight being shown in cinemas
This is already out on pirate DVD round my way...

Chisora talking retirement & Haye winding up the lassie from coronation street in a jungle, the mother of all anti-climaxes to both mens boxing careers if ever there was one! Who would have thought it when the world was gripped by their fight only a short while ago... Imagine the tagline with the benefit of hindsight! HAYE V CHISORA ITS ALL OR NOTHING RETIREMENT FOR THE LOSER IM A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE FOR THE WINNER THE STAKES HAVE NEVER BEEN HIGHER. |
