Who do you want to see GSP fight next?

With all the talk, we haven't got this forum's opinion about it.

If it were purely up to you, would you sign GSP against Anderson, Hendricks, Diaz or someone else?

Rank them if you feel like it. :smoke

:hat

I would like for St. Pierre to beat Silva. Don't necessarily want him to fight him though, if that makes sense? I don't like his chances.

Diaz doesn't deserve the title-shot.

I'm fucking scared of Hendricks. But his MMA-wrestling is overrated (similar to Mark Munoz). I still like St. Pierre's chances.

What do you mean his "MMA-wrestling" is overrated? Put me in the proper context for this argument, as I do not read a lot of mma news. I often miss out on the hype.

I know the guy is a 2 time NCAA Division I champion. His wrestling is legitimate.

Silva should be next. I don't see what GSP has to lose if he loses to Silva and if he wins then he can argue he's the greatest fighter of all time.

It's better that GSP lose to Silva than to Hendricks. I don't think he will beat Hendricks any easier than he can beat Silva.

Put me down for Diaz. This has been the most interesting style match-up for some time. No one stops GSP's take downs, but Diaz has a very dangerous guard. GSP also has a wider arsenal standing, but I would not bet on GSP winning a stand-up only battle. Diaz' chin and pressure are the neutralizers here.

I would predict a GSP decision, but I wouldn't be all that surprised if I'm wrong.

My next most anticipated fight would be against Hendricks. This is solely because of Hendricks' punching power. GSP beats him everywhere else.

If GSP defeats both of these guys, he should go to 185. There would be no one left that can really add to his resume at welterweight.

Hendricks deserves a shot and should be next cab off the rank, but it is the Diaz fight I want to see.

Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis is the perfect example. It's a push to even say Evans was decent at Michigan State. Davis on the other hand was an absolute STUD at powerhouse Penn State.

But Evans outwrestled Davis inside of the Octagon in amazing fashion.

Collegiate wrestling doesn't always translate perfectly over to MMA. Mark Munoz is my favorite example. Well it's not really that the collegiate wrestling isn't transferring well it's that Munoz chooses to use only his upper body strength. And is NOT a great MMA wrestler.

On the other spectrum you have guys like Rashad Evans, Jon Fitch, and Georges St. Pierre who were either piss-poor in college (Evans, Fitch) or had no organized experience (St. Pierre), yet, are dominating the MMA scene with their wrestling, MMA Wrestling, if you will.

The only fighters, of recent memory, to truly showcase world-class wrestling inside the Octagon as well as the NCAA Division I scene is Josh Koshcheck and Daniel Cormier. (A case can be made for Lesnar and Sonnen as well.)

As for my case against Hendrick's MMA-wrestling, he has yet to control a decent wrestler inside of the Octagon.

I voted other. I'm going out on a limb here (my brain is pumping) - let's have St. Pierre fight the Henderson/Diaz winner at 155lbs! Next, Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar. Then eventually everyone else at Lightweight.

He subsequently cleans out the Lightweight division. After this he would have cleaned out the two strongest weight-divisions in MMA history and people will STILL give him the short end of the GOAT stick.

Johny Hendricks would blast him, I believe we will know around Christmas.

I agree Hendricks' MMA wrestling is overrated but it's still more than solid. His TDD might let him down though.

I want Hendricks Vs Diaz next. If not, Diaz Vs Koscheck will do as long as Hendricks gets another top guy.

If GSP is out of action as 170lb champ' then Hendricks Vs Rory/BJ winner makes sense to me.

Diaz bitched out of his fight with gsp already. did you guys forget? he is not worthy of shit :patsch

Hendricks is worthy of the fight and his style will make him a fan favorite. People love a champ that gets KOs. He could be the next chuck liddel.
