Curtis 'bought' Gamboa from TR for $1.2 mill and now needs TR to give him fights cuz he pissed of GBP trying to cut them out of Floyd's life. Boxing is a strange business in that you have to work with your competitors unless you have on huge stable. Even Arum and Oscar are forced by the orgs to work outside their boundries if they want the straps.

Its called a co-promotion. Gerry Pennalosa promotes the guy he's fighting. 50 and Gerry are both more like managers on this one. They basically just negotiate how much Arum pays their fighters for the fight. Another way you can look at it is that Arum got paid 1.2 mil so that he could turn around and pay a huge chunk of that back to a guy he doesn't own the rights too. 50 has enough fighters to get a good paying TV date with a majour network. If he decides to run a card where Gamboa is the headline and billy dib is in the co-main event and they get that card on HBO or Showtime, then Bob doesn't see a cent of that money....and 50 would already be well on his way to making his money back. Point is Gamboa adds value to Arum's card and he is paying 50 for the rights to use Gamboa. 50 still has potential earning value with gamboa beyond this fight where as for Arum that isn't the case.
