Junk food and keeping fit

i dont eat alot of junk food i eat relitivly well, just now and again when i do i always kick myself

Ive always seen it as each time you eat junk cake sweets burgers watever that it eats away at your stamina and fitness each time you do eat bad.

How true would this be?

Whats so bad about junk food?
FFS i hate it when people breakdown foods into clean and junk. Food= energy
calories from "junk" food or the same as calories from "clean" foods so why would your energy levels, stamina or anything else be negativly effected?

Bad for you but don't effect stamina....unless you eat so much you turn into a whale.

Eating different types of food at certain times i.e. after a hard training session, can have effects on energy levels and performance. Eating a plate of pasta (or complex carb source) after a workout is a great way to put yourself to sleep for example.

All food is the same really, just different ratios of what they contain, good or bad.

Yeah, unless you're eating so much (or something that gives you indigestion), then the effect on performance is in all likelihood just mental.

Only thing would be consuming too much sugar too fast --> insulin spike ---> hypoglycemia --> impaired brain function --> getting KTFO

Well, at least in the short term..maybe end up with diabetes if you keep it up.

Learn something new everyday. I will try the carb source thing oneday soon and see if it helps me go to bed quicker after a night workout thanks.

The only real time i worry about junk food is when im cutting weight, thats when you have to worry about how much you consume and replacing foods that will help cut weight
