66/67 Ali v peak frazier and norton

i think ali still struggles greatly with both but still beats them conclusively on points

if ali fought frazier in 67-69 he probably easiliy beat frazier because joe had yet to develop his head movement

I think Ali's vulnerability to the left hook will always give Frazier stylistic advantage. If we're talking a peak Frazier here I think he has a better chance of knocking out Ali from 66/67. I feel Ali's chin was not as steardy as most make it out to be and hadn't fully developed till around about the first FOTC. I'll take Joe by a closer decision than the FOTC, but there's a chance Frazier gets him out of there late on.

Norton will always match up well against Ali, but the foot speed would be too much for Ken to cope with. Ali can coast to a competitive decision on the outside for most of the night 145-140 style

Prime Frazier TKO's 66/67 Ali

Ali outpoints Norton (if he takes Norton seriously at that stage of his career)

69-71 Frazier always beats Ali!

Ali likely wins against Norton (although he might actually deserve it this time), but still see it as a bad style match-up for Ali...Could go either way, but give a slight edge to him.

Both men would still have been Muhammad's toughest opponents to date at that time. Think of Ali-Frazier II and Ali-Norton II,but with slightly more daylight separating them on the scorecards.

why does 69-71 frazier always beat ali? ali had his peak legs in 66/7. he never in 1971! frazier would find it harder to hit a moving target than a target resting on the ropes lol. be a tough fight but i pick ali to win on points.

frazier and norton by UD/SD or frazier maybe by T/KO

IMO, 67 Ali outpoints or stops any HW from any era, including Joe and Ken.

Furthermore, we'll never know what an active, uninterrupted Ali might have looked like in say, late 1969. We never saw a 'prime' Ali.

How do you square the Frazier hypothesis with the ring rusty Ali of 1971 going the distance with Joe ?

66/67 version of Ali easily beats Frazier and Norton.
