I thought punching power could not be improved at all!

All i have ever heard is that punching power is genetics and that building muscle will not increase power, yet everyone keeps saying that Marquez improve his power because he put on muscle. what is this shit?

So how would roids improve punching power, if added muscle doesn't?

Idiot.

With all the muscles in the world, you don't improve punching power, rv. It's the shot you don't see that takes you out, no matter how big your neck is.

if muscles improved punching power bradley would hit as hard as tyson did an ye it is the punch you dont see coming that takes you out but i do think you can improve punching power a little bit just like you can with speed but am not to sure.

Marquez probably could've done that to Pacquaio in any fight. That night the stars just aligned.

Obviously. But power of punches can obviously be improved, if you don't think so you probably also suspect people of being witches and you think they should be burned at the stake.

So is Arthur Abraham a master of making his hands vanish?

punching power is relative to your strenght, but you need the technique and explosiveness to transfer the force into your opponent

strenght, explosivness and technique can be improved, thus so can power, although for an already peaked elite athlete....

We need Bigbone in here with his GIFs to show this idiot why that KO punch was devestating.

Great overhead view showing how the punch was 10% arm and 90% shoulder and hip turn, with the added momentum of Pacquiao lunging into it.

It's kinetic energy, it's physics, and it's fact.

Bradley has shit technique and all his muscle is upper body, that's why he can't punch. Power comes from tendon stiffness and coordination anyway, heavy weight training increases tendon stiffness.

Wanted to add that Marquez started squatting and doing other explosive exercises. So he was stronger but weighed the same

What about the first knockdown? Marquez obviously improved his punching power.

I think he has improved it to a point.

I think it's fairly obviously a combination of strenght training, the technique of the punch, Pacquiao not seeing it coming and Pacquiao's chin not being quite what it was.

you are right if you have better technique that gives you more power an if you have accuracy you will get the knock outs anyways because you can land the well timed shots your opponent doesnt see coming an i am also looking forward to GTA 5 even tho i am a 23 year old i just cant help meself i love them games
