Inconsistent Stamina
Hello , I was hoping to get some potential answers for a problem I've been having that my trainers haven't been able to answer.
I may get up at 12pm (unemployed I'm afraid) , eat at five and go training at 7. I typically eat peanut butter on toast and an apple and drink lots of water during the say. I'll find training challenging of course , including bag work , pads and sparring but I can handle it and I feel like I'm progressing. When I go to train two days later or even the next week I will keep the exact same routine but I will just get out of breath extremely quickly or feel like I have no energy , and what I was able to accomplish with relative easy a few days ago is now extremely hard. But then the next time I might be absolutely fine again and so on. Any ideas as to why this may be happening and what to do about it would be much appreciated. |
Re: Inconsistent Stamina
What's your diet other than what you stated above? Maybe you're eating too lean. If you are eating too lean (not enough fat), eat some avocados and nuts.

Re: Inconsistent Stamina
My diet is generally quite inconsistent until its a training day where I'll just eat some peanut butter on toast and fruit about two hours beforehand. I make sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables but I'll also eat a lot of junk food which isn't a huge problem for me as I don't seem to put on weight at all , never have and have been underweight most of my life.
Just don't understand why I can steam through training on some days and struggle terribly on another. Thank you for your reply. |

Re: Inconsistent Stamina
It's probably your diet. Try eating healthy consistently and getting proper rest.

Re: Inconsistent Stamina
nerves, at some level you are mind-fucking yourself. The diet thing I discount...during the Depression guys were starving and fought their asses off. Because they were desparate, sure. Your mind can screw you up.
