I have designed a range of sparring gloves...
That have the padding focused on the knuckles so they are not as wide as most 14/16oz sparring gloves.
This should encourage head and foot movement in the fighters using them for defense whilst protecting the knuckles and back hand bones... Does this appeal to you? Or are you happier having the extra protection in your sparring glove even though it encourages unrealistic blocking? |
Re: I have designed a range of sparring gloves...
Would be nice if you had included pictures or a link to your project.
Wouldn't the extra padding on the knuckles give for unrealistic reach? Did you modify an already existing brand? |

Just told the manufacturer what i wanted and had four pairs done until i was happy, dont get me wrong, they are not completely reveloutionary, but they are significantly slimmer than most on the market, having sparred a few hundered rounds with them i am happy that you need to slip more and that shots that get through in competition gloves also get through in these making the boxer more reliant on proper head and foot movement, rather than just "hiding" behind the glove... I think they will seriously help boxers with there defense:good |

Can you show some pics of the gloves, and how much money they would go for ? Sounds very interesting.

I can't post pics at the minute as I am on my phone. |
Re: I have designed a range of sparring gloves...
I like this idea - it's easy to get a false sense of security with large sparring gloves.
