If MMA is better than boxing...

For probably the same reasons Muay Thai isn't. Both relatively new to the western sports world in any organised form (compared to amateur boxing), the emphasis in both sports is very much on the pros, the amateur ends of the sports aren't that well developed & all the various national bodies probably don't communicate too well. But I think the main reason is the queasiness of Olympic sponsors.

I didnt say it was bad, I was just saying that the guy has one of those american "holy cow" expressions on his face, and not a solemn Asian expression (see difference below I will let you guess which is which), but like I said the picture is pretty cool, and it combines your name and the cool of having an asian (ish) guy(s) in your avatar

from wiki

Quote:

Intimidation (also called cowing) is intentional behavior that "would cause a person of ordinary sensibilities" fear of injury or harm. It's not necessary to prove that the behavior was so violent as to cause terror or that the victim was actually frightened.[1]
Criminal threatening (or threatening behavior) is the crime of intentionally or knowingly putting another person in fear of imminent bodily injury. "Threat of harm generally involves a perception of injury...physical or mental damage...act or instance of injury, or a material and detriment or loss to a person."[2] "A terroristic threat is a crime generally involving a threat to commit violence communicated with the intent to terrorize other."[3]

Re: If MMA is better than boxing...

because its in a cage[as mma haters call it] and its too brutal. elbows and kicks to the head are not what the olympic movement want the public to see.
plus mma i kinda new.

the only way it could get into the games is if there was a watered-down version with headgear imo.
