Solomon Haumono TKO5 Kyotaro Fujimoto

On the Ioka undercard this morning.

Well that didn't last long, blown up cruiser Kyotaro loses his 0 as soon as he goes in with a bigger guy who can punch.

This reflects really, really badly on Welliver

Don't think that this means Haumono is in any way a prospect, he's 37 and has struggled to get past anyone who isn't a bum. He's just a puncher really, who has got a good win here over a skilled fighter far too small for HW.

Kyotaro could probably carve out a decent career at cruiser but needs to give it up at HW now for his own safety or he will get KO'd by every decent fighter he faces.

And this guy was deemed to be a super prospect that would lead us into a new golden era by certain self proclaimed experts.

Well now we know what happens when a rugby player - even one pushing 40 - fights a prime former kickboxing champion.

It really is a sport for tough guys. :conf

That's probably it. It's just standing out as he rated him much higher than Plulev and Glazkov etc...

I think he was probably just trying to get a rise out of the eastern Euros, having them so low.

There's no way someone can have seen extensive video of Pulev and Glazkov and deem the former a 2nd tier and the latter a 3rd tier HW.

I doubt it with him ranking Abdusallamov as another super prospect ahead of those. Who let's be honest has basically reached his level. He's just going to be a Travis Walker type that's fun to watch and will either get the KO or get KO'd himself. He may pull off the odd shock but he looks extremely limited minus his heavy hands.

Agreed.

Possibly...my list was semi-serious but there's a bit of playful trolling in there too, which should have been fairly obvious

Although I'll be honest, I don't rate Pulev anywhere nearly as high as most people do. His footwork is awful at times and he lacks power. I don't think he should be held in contention for any post-Wlad discussion.

Abdusalamov is a prospect worth caring about. I think he'd knock Pulev out if they fought next.

He's just another Seth Mitchell. It's just a matter of time before he gets splattered badly by KO. Have you not seen him against McCline? If an old McCline can do that to him with zero movement imagine what a well schooled pro would do to him.

I don't think he's improved that much since this schooling tbh.
