Jon-Lewis Dickinson v David Dolan - British CW title

On Feb 15, poor poor fight. Dickinson easily beat Dolan over 10 rounds in July 2011 and Dolan has looked well past his best for a while now so what's the point of this?

Would have liked to see China Clarke or Neil Dawson get this fight.

Atleast I know what Ill be doing on feb 15th, the first fight between these two was close and good to watch. Not bad first defence, Dawson bashing up Conquest probably put a spanner in the works.

The British Cruiserweight scene is really poor. It looked like it was picking up with the likes of Askin and Conquest but even they couldn't progress through.

It's not that bad, there are a couple of decent prospects coming through like Wadi Camacho and Danny Price but they both have under 10 fights and probably don't feel ready for a shot at the Lonsdale. Plus everyone is ducking China Clarke who is far more deserving of a shot at Dickinson than Dolan is.

It was a decent scrap but I had Dickinson winning it clearly, there are a couple of other guys who have done more to earn a shot.

I agree Clarke deserves a shot at the English title atleast, I remember seeing him against Balker on a Fearon show and he looked very good.

I'll probably try to get down as long as I'm not boxing. Jon-Lewis should win really but I can understand the match making since it is two NE guys will sell a bit better and raise his profile up here.

what sort of standard mate?

it's a shame it's in houghton-le-spring and not central newcastle as JDL wanted. would much rather get the train down, do something in newcastle during the day, aspers after the fight, then crash at a mates etc. I would have to drive, which i wouldnt really want to do, and just wouldnt be the same. it's a shame as it would be nice to see a half decent british title match up here, and not your usual akesh hussain type shows we have been getting in the city.

it will be Loaded tv for me :bart

Aw just novice amateur mate. and aye I know what your saying completely. This defence may seem rubbish to those down south but it's the best quality match we've had up here for a long time.

I cant see the fight being on to late so you could get a metro from newcastle to sunderland then jump on the bus to the veune. Ive done that before and it worked out quite well and ended up in liquid not long after 12.30.
