What is happening with Hatton Promotions?

What is going on with Hatton promotions at the moment? When they first came into the business they were doing a decent job, but for the past year or so they seem to have completely gone off the map. Their last show apart from the Hatton comeback was in June last year and they don't seem to have any promotions scheduled in the future either.

They are really damaging their fighters by not getting them out regularly enough and some of their prospects haven't fought in 8-9 months which isn't acceptable in all honesty. They really need to consider whether or not they want to take the business seriously and if I was one of their fighters I would be looking for a way out.

People like Joe Murray, Richard Towers, Denton Vassell, Gary Buckland etc are just going stale by not fighting enough and need to look at other promoters if they want more action.

Mate they just put on a big promotion in Hong Kong, which Richard Towers was meant to fight on but he allegedly had an ear injury.

Martin Murray is fighting Martinez
Quigg is WBA interim champion (far, far ahead of Eddie's boy)
Buckland and Vassell fought late last year in big fights at the MEN arena.

What is your point exactly?

Big promotion really? Lucas Browne was the only vaguely recognisable name on there

Murray is his only fighter which has a decent fight lined up as far as I can tell.

Quigg won that but what now he hasn't got a fight lined up so seemingly that is another 5/6 months minimum out of the ring.

My point is that he has a big stable many of who are just not active enough for the stage of their careers which they are at currently. They have put on one promotion in the UK since June and that isn't really enough for a promoter with their number of fighters

This!!!!

They can't put on a show without TV backing because it will lose cash. I still think that Hatton only came out of retirement so he could get the rest of his stable a TV date.

Considering it was the biggest promotion in HK history then I'd suggest it was pretty big.

Browne vs Towers was a good match despite the withdrawal.

Rex Tso sells a lot of tickets here.

They've just signed Cameron Hammond and Damien Hooper; two very talented Aussie Olympians. They are serious. They are here to stay. The UK TV contract is a big problem but once that's sorted it's all systems go.

Sorry if this post comes across as arsey, it's not meant to be! :good

My point is that a struggling company (which seems to be the implication) wouldn't be doing the things they're doing in Asia right now. All that is needed is patience IMO

It probably was a big promotion in HK didn't actually know about it until you mentioned it so good to see that he is going into new markets.

They are doing well trying to get into the Asian market and I think if that goes well it could be very profitable, but they still have their UK stable to look after and it does seem as though they have been forgotten about to some extent. (although maybe they haven't)

No worries mate :good I wasn't criticising just wondering

I thought part of the reason Hatton came out of retirement was to get a tv deal for his promotion. Thought there might have been a deal for his comeback and a few more Hatton shows but ending up on primetime put an end to that. It's a shame as I'd like to see the likes of Buckland and Vassel out regularly.

How is Quigg far far ahead of Frampton ?, ridiculous statement  ! He can't even get on tv and would be sitting it out even longer if Ricky didn't throw most of his stable a lifeline with the 1 fight come back. If Frampton beats Kiko, and they offer a fight to Quigg its going to look like a serious bottle job if he declines. Would probably be his best pay day and on Sky.

When I left my 18 month with Orange because there were not providing me with an adequate service, I didn't screw them over.

it could just be that the guys in charge don't have a clue how to run a business.

Quigg was on tv in his last fight and has 2 straps both more credible than framptons how does that make him behind him
