ending w/ lead hand concept
Ive heard before its always safe to end your combinations with your lead hand and just comfirming and see everyone elses point of views about this? Im also a southpaw if that changes anything.
Or what do yous end combinations with to be safe? |

It puts you back on balance

Re: ending w/ lead hand concept
I like it as a way to re-establish distance/control. Even if it's not a punch, a stiff arm can work very well.

Re: ending w/ lead hand concept
Ending with a left hook is always best, best punch to put you back in balance ect

Balance, naturally the best answer. It puts you back into the boxing stance to which you will probably need to move to your next position. Basically teaching to clean up and organize the attacks, transitioning from one attack to the next.

it doesnt matter what is a safe or non safe combination. Everytime you throw punches you are vulnerable.

Re: ending w/ lead hand concept
well the left hook is the natural 3rd punch to the 1, 2 due to that being how counting is done....lol
also....you throw the jab...left shoulder goes out..right hand gets "loaded up" in a safe way...throw the right..left hand comes back as the body position turns...now you are in perfect position to throw the left hook.... however....if you are planning on coming out of the pocket. LIke say you just hit a guy 4 times...jab cross hook right...but he is strong as a ox and you dont want to get into a brawl..you can step out of the pocket with a jab. |
