Alternative for sameday weigh in

Making it "illegal" for a fighter to have his total waterweight below a certain percentage of his own bodyweight.
This will prevent fighters from doing a lot of dehydration at all, while with same day weigh in they might still try to dehydrate and use PEDs to get their waterweight back really quickly.
Or stop stupid trainers from harming their fighters if they think a lot of weight can be hydrated back in a single day without harm.

It seems like the safest choice to me.
(It isn't that hard to measure waterweight either)

Boxing isn't regulated like other sports are. You can make up all the good rules you want, if the governing bodies are corrupt it won't do much good.

Have 3 weight in's first one 2 days before the fight, the day before and the day of the fight. Only one of them need to be open to press and that the other 2 could just be a quick on off the scales. You couldn't cut weight for 3 days you would probably die.

I reckon they should return to same day weigh in.

If not then have a second weigh in fight night ensuring you're within the next division I.e. A welter not coming in above 154 on fight night.

Ive got a better idea. Return to same day weigh ins but if the fighters water weight is below an acceptable level that could increase the risk of brain damage then fine him and dont allow him to fight.

This will very quickly keep fighters fighting at their true weight and keep promoters from booking fights that are weight mismatches because it penalizes both.
