Evensen/Miskirtchian - EBU Title this weekend

Could be a decent fight, seen quite a bit of Evensen but not seen much of Miskirtchian, anyone got any views on him and on this fight.

Its live in the UK on boxnation so fancy a little bet - wheres my money going?

I am just on my way to the Event now...to to be honest I cant help you much though. I am in the same position. Seen some of Evensen, but not much not much of Miskirtchian.
I heard he was lucky in winning the EBU title, but just what i heard.
So where did your money go?

evensen to me is childlike in both his approach and physical attributes. Miskirtchian by technical majority draw

****IN fight of the night....what a barn stormer...but unfrotunate we could see evensen was the smaller weaker man from the start, he still tried his heart out.

Patrick Mendy is a legend though...spoke to him after the fight at ringside and he was a perfect gentleman and gave me enough time...genuine geezer no doubt... Scorecards were rubbish in that fight.

Yes, with 30 seconds left of the final round that was a cruel end to Evensen's night. Especially after he showed how tough and courageous he was throughout against the bigger stronger opponent.

Miskirtchian was up on the official cards anyway. (I still had Evensen up, and it was a bad stoppage IMO - but even if it had gone on, he was going to lose)

After such a galant effort I would of liked to have seen him reach the final bell though.

I had Evensen just ahead as well, and I also heard the box nation commentators had him ahead?? but cant confirm that.

Wouldnt mind seeing a rematch to be fair.

Agreed, but at the end of the day the result (if not the method) would've been exactly the same had Foster allowed him to do so.

It isn't like he was robbed of potentially acquiring Miskirtchian's title, so I'm not too hung up on the weak stoppage. A loss is a loss, ultimately. His continued show of bravery was laudable, but there would be a stronger argument for letting him see the final bell if he wasn't hurt and dropped a bunch of times along the way.

I believe so, but it's the official judges' cards that would've mattered and on theirs Evensen had no chance even if he survived. (or even rallied back to somehow knock Miskirtchian down for a 10-8 in the dwindling seconds of the twelfth)

Absolutely! :good

Miskirtchian does owe him that, but I've got a feeling it would be in Belgium next time...

If Sauerland and Evensen really wants it, they can probably make it in Denmark again.

You think? Miskirtchian has all the leverage, with the belt and the W over him.

Yeah, for money reasons I could see it. The Belgians fight away often and Sauerland has got beltholders to come to their cards more than once in the past. It be interesting too see what happens.

Yeah, Sauerland probably takes the purse bid and gets to dictate where.
