Enzo vs Johnny Nelson

Not taking into account his drubbing at the hands of David Haye who fancied his chances over Nelson? I believe Nelson would have boxed his way to a comprehensive UD fairly similar to the way he exposed Petkovic.

I agree, even before the Haye fight I'd have said Nelson would have been too slick for Enzo.

Yep. Nelson had his knockers but he knew how to get a UD.

I was quite disappointed when the fight never happened got postponed and then canceled altogether through Johnnys retirement. As i was quite sure that fight would have been Nelsons last hurrah. He seemed quite beside himself when he was hugging David after the fight.

Yep. Nelson vs Enzo would have been a fight I would have gone to see. At that point in Nelsons career he could not fight anymore, a real shame.

At the time I thought Nelson would befuddle him early but figured Maccas fitness and strength to be a wee bit too much for an old Nelson to cope with. I would probably still bet the same way now. I was a big fan of Nelson the man more than Nelson the fighter but him dancing his way to a UD would by no means be a shock.

Johnny Nelson is most definitely underappreciated, he'd be too wise and slick for Enzo

I put a bet on Nelson at 11/10 when they were supposed to fight. I was a bit annoyed when the fight was called off and even more annoyed when Enzo lost to Hobson. Clearly Nelson would have beaten him quite comfortably.

There's a reason Enzo usually fights the likes of Bobby Gunn.

i was picking Nelson to beat Enzo when the fight when the fight was a possibilty.

Enzo was mostly just a puncher back then so yeah Nelson would of won a decision.

A prime Nelson boxes Haye to a close UD. Nelson had world class power when he could be asked to sit on his punches rather than being so negative. But his years fighting abroad gave him way to much ring smarts to loose to a young stud like Haye.

And what is Enzo now? Oh yeah, the 'new Lennox Lewis'. Haha. Enzo has a wild left hook and fuck all else. He's a chinny puncher who can't fight going backwards. Nothing's changed.

David Haye exposed him.

Nelson would have outboxed Enzo to a boring UD I've always said that.
