Charles vs Patterson
 

Both at heavy- Charles at 188 or so and Patterson at 190.
I can see this one going to decision, and I can also see a knockout either way. Patterson's chin held up against guys that didn't have huge power and Charles could get clipped by bigger punchers. I see this as very competitive and potentially entertaining, so take your picks. If forced to pick, I'm going with Patterson W15 in a tight war.

I agree with a Patterson U.D.Ezzard was a good but not a great puncher at Hw.and Floyd was bombed out 3 times in his carrer, twice against Liston once against Ingemar.These two both hit harder than Charles.I don't see Charles kayoing Patterson.I also don't see Patterson kayoing Charles either.Charles having stood up to Louis and Marciano.Floyd with his quicker hands and crowding style out works Ezzard for a close but unanimous decision.thanks.:deal

This is one of my dream fights and have mulled over the possibilites many times. Never can come to a definite conclusion. Charles certainly doesn't stop Patterson. However he possesed the skill and durability to make it a great match despite being at an a possible disadvantage in speed and power. Could go either way, but would a be great fight whatever the outcome.
