get in the mind set of protecting your target and not reaching for his punch. it's common for someone new to reach out to the opponent's punches as a defense. that's like letting your goalie get too far from the net. your job is to protect your net, not meet the punch. if the punch doesn't get to you then great! immediately see what's coming next. like mentioned earlier, if you reacted to a jab feint the way you would have for a jab, no real harm done (unless you have a bad habit of exposing yourself, which is maybe why he fiented in the first place). what's coming next?

live in the absolute moment. if you live in the past you'll get nailed every time (*feint*-reaction-thought: "i can't believe i fell for that!"-take a punch).
