I only started boxing in March so I sort of feel I have a lot to do fitness wise (all in my head as the people at boxing said I trained hard1)
If you have only just started I would suggest a lot of shadow boxing just trying to get the technique down that should be your priority. Everything will come from the technique. Running won't hurt with bodyweight exercises.
