What's funny is that people give the benefit of the doubt to Don King over Wlad here. It'd be foolish to rule it out and assume any fight is 100% on the level when King's involved, especially with the other red flags present in this one.

I can't prove it, and even if I could, I still give Brewster full credit for his heart and toughness that night. But something wasn't right that night with Wlad, and King knew it. That's the primary reason why he kept Lamon away from the rematch while he had the title.
