Bulll****, He's getting proper rest, eating 3 squares a day, has a day structured around some form or PT, classroom and practical training exercises.
I gained 20 lbs. in boot camp back in 1970 in the dead of summer in Orlando, Florida in that oppressive heat. It's the structure of eating wholesome meals 3 times a day, same time every day and getting in and out of the rack at basically the same time.
