Khan has proven himself against guys with power on a higher level, Judah and Maidana. He has proven his boxing skills against Maliganngi, Judah, and Kotelnik.
Khan has proven he has heart and can come back from defeat when everyone wrote him off. Prescott on the other hand has been losing or barely squeezing a win since the night he won lottery. Prescott is a backward path for Khan who has better opponents to fight.
IF Prescott can pull of a good win streak I have no doubt that the rematch will happen.

The point I'm trying to make here is todays boxers are spoiled they make too much money for there own good. Lack of money makes a Boxer hungry, If you are getting Million Dollary paydays then you can pick and choose who you want to fight. Why take a risky fight when you don't have to?
