That's not true, why has it become custom to say this? Anderson was owning the standup and had him hurt a few times it looked like as well, Chonan was just hitting him with a few leg kicks. On the ground Anderson had him in worse spots than Chonan had him, and when Chonan was on top he wasn't doing much. Chonan had the top position on the ground more often, but Anderson had him in more trouble and was going for subs. The ground game was somewhat even, if you wanna give that to Chonan I understand, but other than leg kicks Silva was winning the standup. The fight was pretty close(I'd say Anderson was ahead), no matter what the commentators were saying.
He wasn't dominating, but Chonan would have won the fight had it gone the distance.
