You have a semi valid point. While Scott may not boast the greatest resume, he is undefeated, and an undefeated fighter don't know how to lose yet.
It's highly likely that he would, or Chapman/Rodriguez would give the K2 a better fight than Thomspon or Dimitrenko would.

But it's all about climbing the ladder. Yeah, Rodriguez is avoided like the plague. And Malik is back, but as of yet has not publicly called out a top 50. Chapman however had several opportunities at bigger fights, and chose to keep quiet.
