This is the reason the whole "never got off the canvas to win" criteria is bullshit. How about considering what it actually takes to put him there in the first place? Aside from an off balance flash KD in 1996, he was put on the canvas twice between 1985-2002 and got the absolute shit beat out of him by significantly larger men (both of which possessed a very good deal of skill) before he could be put on the canvas.
