They changed it to an 8-rounder, and it went the distance.
Those who bet the over in good faith were understanding it to be a 10-rounder, and it would be unfair to screw them out of a payout.
Those who bet the under, well, they can't help it that the technical result happened to be UNDER eight-and-a-half rounds by virtue of the fight not being scheduled for more than 8 after the last-minute change.
