Glen Johnson was on a good KO run, 32 fights, 32 wins and no loses 22 KO's. There was no blueprint. He stepped up to Hopkins, and got a solid career beatdown topped with a TKO, then it took him a while to get back to a decent level and get out of his ruined state.
Joe Calzaghe looks great in his career defining win over Mikkel Kessler steps up to Hopkins and all of a sudden looks shit. Then looks shit against RJJ and calls it a day when he is at the pinnacle of his career.
