I give Rios props for fighting the big and dangerous Alvarado but it was never a matter of Rios avoiding dudes that can punch, it's good boxers he's avoiding. Alvarado is tailor made for him. B level technician Abril made him look silly, he can't hang with a slick boxer that has a decent chin and Arum knows this which is why it'll be the Alvarado's of the world from now on. Still a very credible opponent for a 1st fight at 140 and one he deserves props for winning if he does.
Demarco's arguably the #1 fighter at 135 so thats a great first step up for Broner too. There's only one other fighter you can argue better than Demarco at 135 and that's Vazquez who gets criminally underrated.
Broner stepped up already against De Leon, he just didn't look that great and probably should have got the L in that fight. It was still a step up in competition nonetheless.
