testosterone drops slightly after ejaculating. It takes about 1 week for levels to rise. The positive thing about abstinence is that you're ignoring your limbic system and strengthening cortical systems which are important for motivation, thinking, drive, just overall mental sharpness etc...departments that boxers should be strong in. There are psychological aspects to this, probably moreso than just the small bit that is physical, which is oscillating testosterone levels when you're ***ually active.
