Re: Wlad Calls Deontay Wilder For Sparring
Manny has been a huge Wilder fan for a while now. It would be amazing to see him take over Deontay's training.
-No disrespect to Jay Deas, who IMO has done a fantastic job so far. - But Wilder still has holes in his defense, and Steward is obviously a defensive master.
Also, if he were under Steward's wing, it would be much easier to find better opponents, plus the obvious HBO connection.
Things could be really heating up in the HW division:
Jennings' power is improving, Helenius is back, Boytsov will likely make an impressive statement this Sat, and Wilder may finally start fighting actual opponents. Price, Pulev, & maybe even Mago could all also be factors. - And Wlad will retire before having to face Wilder or Price, I guarantee it.
I'm really looking forward to 2013.
