all depends on the opponent and current injurys, sure he would train hard but knowing your up against a fighter who holds the IBF/WBA titles is going to make you train alot harder. If we ****ize the Garth Wood fight you can see he had fallen into a lot of bad habits which are generally picked up by poor training practices, simply put he wasnt testing himself as much as he should have been as a result he picked up bad habits both during fights and in training. He didnt wake up one day and just decide to pick up these bad habits during a fight, you image what you do in training during a fight and he had slacked off somewhat no doubt about it imo.
none of us know to what extent his hip injury plays a part, its pure speculation at this stage.
