Fedor's athleticism had not declined much at all. His hands were fast, accurate and powerful. He was physically very capable of winning. RJJ jumped around in weight too much and suddenly found that he couldn't pull the trigger any more. He couldn't fight like he was used to fighting. Fedor wasn't like that. Athleticism had exactly nothing
to do with his loss to Werdum.
Interesting how polarized the votes are too. Out of 38 voters, I am the only one who thinks that you can make a valid case for either man, depending on what aspects of performance you value over others.
For example, I personally value longevity and consistency. Others place more significance on how you look on your best night. Different strokes for different folks.
