I am not sure if this is a legitimate question or not and dont really want to derail the thread, but i am guessing it is because if most of todays heavyweights ate, drank and trained the same as Peter Maher, they would weigh around 170 and conversely if Peter Maher trained, ate (and dare i say roided) like others today he would weigh 200 plus.
Plus the fact that history has proven that anytime we have seen a good 175 pounder step in against the best heavyweights in the world they nearly always reach top 10 level, even today. Recent examples to think of would include the likes of Toney, Jones Jr, Adamek and i am sure this trend will continue as it always has.
Still, it does raise an interesting question that i only just thought of for some reason. How does Maher go against Bob Foster, Ezzard Charles, Michael Spinks, Bernard Hopkins, Chad Dawson, etc. He would have to start favourite against most of these wouldnt he?
